5 Can’t-Miss January Events in DC
The month of January seems to slow down here in DC. The holidays have passed, the colder temperatures have settled in, and everyone seems to relax a bit more than usual. That being said, there is still plenty to do…it’s DC after all! These January events will be the perfect way to get you out of the house and enjoying yourself, even if it is way too cold out there. There are several family-friendly events going on this month, so grab your loved ones and be sure to check them out.
Light Yards
The holidays have come and gone, but we still can’t get enough of all of the beautiful lights decorating the District. Light Yards is an interactive art installation located in The Yards DC. Artist Jen Lewin and the OGE group came together to create ‘Angels of Freedom’ for the Navy Yard neighborhood, and it is a work of art. The installation allows visitors to pose with five different neon-colored wings and white halos, a fun and social way to remind ourselves and each other that we all count and deserve love. Check it out this weekend before the installation is taken down!
