The Instagrammers Guide To Washington, DC
One of our favorite things about traveling to new cities is finding the hidden (and not so hidden) gems that are just begging to be photographed and shared all over social media. Whether you’re visiting a new place, just moved to a new city or just want an excuse to get out and explore your town, we’re bringing you the most Instagram-worthy locations throughout the US. Since Washington, DC is where we call home, we thought we’d kick this series off with a roundup of our favorite photo-ops around our nation’s capital.

Union Market
In addition to the ridiculously photogenic food porn you’ll find inside of the open-air style Union Market, visitors also get to feast their eyes on new street-art additions from No Kings Collective and their latest masterpiece “Beasts of England”.

Hirshhorn Museum
The Hirshhorn Museum has outdone themselves with their latest exhibit, Yayoi Kusama’s “Infinity Mirrors”, as well as some other equally as photo-worthy displays. Tickets are free but they “sell out” very quickly. Find out how to get them here.

Embassy Row Hotel Angel Wings
Created as part of her Global Angel Wings Project, Colette Miller brought her street art to the Embassy Row Hotel in Dupont Circle sometime around 2015. The wings can be found in cities throughout the world and tend to be some of the most popular street art in any given city that has been blessed with them!

The Yards Park Bridge
Can you even handle the eye-pleasing symmetry of this beautiful piece of architecture at The Yards Park in the booming Capitol Riverfront neighborhood? Bonus points if you work a cone from Ice Cream Jubilee into the photo!

United States National Arboretum
The National Arboretum is home to a number of gorgeous backdrops, including the National Capitol columns, bonsai museum and acres of stunning plant life.

The NoMa Neighborhood
NoMa has been going through a real transformation lately, and one of the most notable changes is the addition of colorful murals and street art everywhere you turn. Take the Metro to the NoMa/Gallaudet U station then embark on a scavenger hunt to see how many you can find.

Meridian Hill Park
The gorgeous Meridian Hill Park is home to some of the most dramatic stonework in DC. The main draw is the cascading fountain at the south end of the park, but even when the water isn’t flowing there are staircases and statues galore just begging to have their photo taken with you.

Albert Einstein Memorial
Nestled amongst a grove of elm and holly trees, this larger than life tribute to Albert Einstein certainly inspires some creative poses.

Renwick Gallery
Recently re-opened after a brief hiatus, the Renwick Gallery is a smaller museum across the street from the White House that has blowing up Instagram feeds everywhere. A handful of artists have transformed each room of the building into a work of art; entrance is free and photography is encouraged!

The National Mall
We know, we know…this one is super obvious. But to get the most Instagrammable bang for your buck, head to the National Mall to capture all of the greatest hits. Start out with a visit to the National Gallery of Art for a photo in the light tunnel to the East Building, then walk down the mall towards the Washington Monument, and finish the day off at the Lincoln Memorial for some photos with Abe himself, as well as some looking back towards the monument and reflecting pool. If you happen to be in DC during the Spring, head over to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial by way of the Tidal Basin and capture the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms in bloom
Pro tip: tour the monuments at night for a unique perspective!
