Outdoor races (yes, outdoor), bar crawls, and the Chinese New Year are just a few of the things we are most excited for. Cupid’s Undie Run
Cupid’s Undie Run is a staple February event in DC. Nothing says Happy Valentines Day like stripping down to your undies for a one-mile fun run. Not only is this a fun and silly event, but Cupid’s Undie Run is also for a great cause. The “run”/party is to benefit neurofibromatosis, a genetic tumor disorder that affects 1 in every 3,000 events. The day begins with a very “brief” run and continues with a major dance party, drinks, and fun. Create a team with friends or run on your own, it’s up to you. Either way, we guarantee you will enjoy yourself while supporting a great cause.

Watch traditional lion and dragon dances, enjoy Kung Fu demonstrations, and enjoy the festivities throughout the streets of China Town. George Washington’s Birthday Parade
February is the month of George Washington’s birthday and we make sure to celebrate here in DC. The greatest celebration takes place in Alexandria, VA with a celebratory parade. This parade is an important tradition, dating back to 1923. Bands, floats, wagons, horses, military units, and drill teams are a few of the special guest performances you will see throughout the parade course. Alexandria, located near George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate, is a great place to explore. The cobblestone streets and historic buildings make the parade even better. George Washington’s Birthday Parade is a nice switch up from Valentine’s Day festivities, and something definitely worth attending.

Bright Star Theatre: ‘Meet Dr. King’
Celebrate Black History Month by watching and listening to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s story in ‘Meet Dr. King’. This play put on by Bright Star honors the triumphs and tragedies of MLK Jr.’s life and the American Civil Rights Movement. Integration, equality, and freedom are a few of the key concepts of this play, and it was written in an effort to introduce these concepts to a younger crowd. Follow along MLK’s life as he transitions from a young boy experiencing racism to a pastor to a social activist that changed our world. Meet Dr. King is a great way to honor MLK and the impact he had.
