Washington, DC has no shortage of events and activities to partake in. We’ve narrowed it down to just a few of the DC events that we’re most excited about this month:
Nuit Cirque: Circus of the Night
This unique and whimsical performance will draw you into a night of magic (and cocktails) under the stars. Mix and mingle on the rooftop of the Liaison Capitol Hill while roaming performers immerse you in a magical experience. Performers include stilt walkers, fire breathers, acro yoga performers, musicians, and more.

Herbie Hancock at The Kennedy Center

DMV Restaurant Week
Restaurant Week descends upon the DC dining scene once again this August with $35 3-course dinners and $22 lunches and brunches. This is the perfect opportunity to try something new or finally treat yourself to that fine dining experience you deserve. 250+ DC area restaurants are participating this year, so there’s truly something for everyone.

Capital Chili Cook-Off & Beer Festival
The first annual Capital Chili Cook-Off & Beer Festival is coming to the Capitol Riverfront this month and it’s brought to you by the International Chili Society, so you know it’s legit. Participants here are competing to decide who will represent DC in the World Chili Cook-Off Championship this fall. General admission gets you unlimited beer samples and free chili samples from the best chili cooks in the region.
When: Saturday, August 19th, 2pm – 6pm

Heineken After Work: Glow Yoga Edition
Heineken and Brightest Young Things have been teaming up to bring us a summer of AfterWork events that one-up the basic happy hour. In this installment, attendees will head to the W to enjoy a “happy hour” of sipping on $5 Heinekens (if you’re into pre-workout boozing) and shopping at the Lulu Lemon pop-up shop, followed by a Shavasana yoga class, followed by more drinks and shopping. Sounds like a dream!
