One key to finding the best real estate deals is to build relationships with others who are ‘in the know’. Jamie Grigg is one of those very such people, and we are lucky to count her as a friend. In order to expose you to as many awesome deals in DC rentals as possible, each week we will highlight an affordable apartment for rent available right now in DC courtesy of one of our favorite Washington real estate experts and her blog, Exposed Brick DC.  This week, Jamie’s giving us a peek at this rare DC carriage house available for rent right now.

$2400
2 BD/2 BA: 1200 sq ft
Capitol Hill
Some utilities included

What makes it great: I am always excited when I find a carriage house. Carriage houses are unique, historic, and hard to find. If you are lucky enough to find one of these, jump on it immediately. The house was recently renovated featuring a new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, central air, and a washer and dryer. There are two bathrooms and two large bedrooms. There is a shared backyard and pets are welcome!

Why you should think twice: The upstairs looks a little dark.
