Stroll over on a Sunday morning and experience some of the best brunch in the area, featuring popular menu items such as bottomless cocktails, sugar donuts, and classic Eggs Benedict.
A favorite late-night eatery, The Diner is a 24-hour restaurant you’d be wise to experience. Whether your cravings strike at 2 am or 2 pm, you can order breakfast here any time of day or night. The menu offers indulgent snacks, comfort foods, and one of the best breakfast menus around. End your meal with a homemade hand-dipped milkshake or kick-start Sunday Funday with a spiked “adult” milkshake. In the warmer months, dine alfresco and enjoy some great people watching.
Napoleon Bistro and Lounge
Napoleon is a Parisian bistro by day and transforms into a nightclub at night. Tryst offers a variety of tasty drinks and meals, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch, as well as coffee, tea, and cocktails. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the two signature animal crackers served with your coffee drink. For a low-key weeknight adventure, wander over on a Tuesday or Wednesday night for some live music. Whether you are flying solo or with a group of friends, the funky, welcoming atmosphere and delightful menus will have you feeling right at home.
From the food to the atmosphere, everything about Habana Village is enticing. This delightfully intimate Cuban restaurant offers authentic cuisine and delicious drinks (their mojitos are to die for). On the second floor you will find professional Latin dancers engaged in the Salsa, Meringue, Timba, and more. Wednesday through Saturdays between 7:15 and 9:30, their dancers are available for lessons. Enjoy a Cuban meal then head upstairs for some booty-shaking fun!
The exercise enthusiasts out there will love this unique space. Stained glass and extravagantly molded ceilings make this studio different from any other. What started off as strength training and yoga has expanded to include cycling, core, kickboxing, Zumba, and more. Stroga participates in Mission Results, a non-profit organization that works to improve economic and social issues around the world. Stroga’s area of focus is Haiti. They offer community yoga classes on Sunday evenings for $10 with proceeds going towards these efforts. Better yourself and those in need all in one sweaty swoop.
Adams Morgan Day
Mark your calendars for the second Sunday of September – this is an event you do not want to miss. This day festival is a great neighborhood block party with all sorts of food, music, and activities offered throughout the day. You will see dancing throughout the streets and sidewalks as well as vendors and cultural demonstrations of all types. This is a fun event for all ages with games, clowns, and other activities to entertain the kids while adults enjoy the cultural mix of food, drinks, art, and music.
Adams Morgan Farmers Market
Support your local farmers and businesses and stock your fridge at the same time! The Adams Morgan Farmers Market is open from May up until Thanksgiving, and stays open for all holidays that fall within this time period. There are two veggie stands, a flower stand, and a baker. Check it out every Saturday from around 9 am until 12 pm.
